The Call For Paper is now open for the VII Edition of the ECSR, EQUALSOC & University of Trento Joint Summer School (3/7 September 2012), which will be held at the Panorama Conference Centre in Trento, Italy.

The School will be devoted to the analysis of both theoretical and methodological aspects of INEQUALITY AND THE LIFE COURSE.

The Program is coordinated by Professor Paolo Barbieri (University ofTrento) and Professor Melinda Mills (University of Groningen) and involves a range of contributions by leading researchers in the field of inequality, life course, event history and related methods.

The substantive program, delivered in the morning sessions, will be supplemented by methodological workshops given in the afternoon tailored to earlier contributions and discussions. These will be held by leading researchers with established track records in relation to the use of cutting edge techniques in the area of life course and inequality/ties. The format seeks to combine the ECSR comparative advantage in relation to substantive sociological issues with the delivery of more structured complementary methodological training.

Among the invited speakers to this round of the Summer School are the following:
Goetz Rohwer, Yossi Shavit, Melinda Mills, Paolo Barbieri, Ulrich Kohler,Brendan Halpin, Stefani Scherer, Nicola Barban, Cristiano Vezzoni.

Researchers of all disciplines who are interested on the topic are encouraged to participate and to submit an abstract. Participants can present papers about any aspect related to the topic of the School. Papers can focus on any European nation, but comparative studies are encouraged.

REGISTRATION:
The deadline for registration is June 15, 2012. Please send your submission by filling the form on the School web site: http://events.unitn.it/en/ecsr2012/registration-form
Long abstracts of about 500 words should be informative, indicate the dataset(s) used and the countries analyzed.
The submitters will be notified by June 30, 2012, whether they have been accepted to participate at the School and present their paper. The final paper have to be send by July 30, 2012.
