Quoc-Anh DO Award Recipient for the Best Paper in Corporate Finance

Sciences Po congratulates Quoc-Anh DO, Assistant Professor with the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for the Evaluation of Public Policies (LIEPP) and the Department of Economics, on his receipt of the « SFS Finance Cavalcade Award for the Best Paper in Corporate Finance » – sponsored by Harley Lippman – for his paper on « Political Connections and Firm Value: Evidence from the Regression Discontinuity Design of Close Gubernatorial Elections« .

After completing his PhD at Harvard University, Quoc-Anh DO worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Singapore Management University from 2008 to 2012. His research focuses on applied microeconomics, political economy, social networks, development economics and corporate governance. Quoc-Anh DO’s work has been published in numerous academic journals. In December 2012, Quoc-Anh Do also received the 2nd prize in Applied Microeconomics at the Premio SBE 2012 (Porto de Galinhas) for his paper entitled « Isolated Capital Cities and Misgovernance: Theory and Evidence« .
