Forecasters and predictors of different kinds in different areas are growing in number. What is the role of predictive ideas in international politics? To what extent predictions reinforce social integration at the international and global level? Why do we need predictions? Predictions build ties between states, organizations and people. This project explores this prevalent aspect of forecasting. Its ambition is to show that images and accounts of the future are more than ever prevalent in building the world where we live in.
