Urban Studies Foundation research funding opportunities

 

The Urban Studies Foundation has recently announced two new funding opportunities:

1. International Fellowship – for Early to Mid-Career Urban Scholars from the Global South.  The Fellowship covers the costs of a sabbatical period at a university of the candidate’s choice in the global north for a period ranging between 3-9 months.  Applicants must be early career urban scholars who currently work in a university/research institution within the global south.  Further details and an application form are available at www.urbanstudiesfoundation.org.  The closing date for application is 29 April 2016.

2. Seminar Series Competition.  The competition aims at supporting the generation of international research in all areas of urban analysis.  Support is available for three seminar series, to a maximum of £20,000 each.  Proposals are welcomed from academics working in any country, should be of international interest in terms of coverage and scope and should relate to the scope of Urban Studies Journal. Applications to the Competition will be received in two stages.
